We admit the Spanish word “Salado” (or “salty”) may not have the most obvious pronunciation in the Satterwhite plan book, but we love this plan all the same thanks to the town of Salado’s role in Texas history, and because, considered the gateway to Austin and the Texas Hill Country, Satterwhite once had a small office in this small town on Interstate 35, not far north of the state capitol.
Our Salado floor plan, at 295 sq. ft. on the main floor, qualifies under most definitions as a tiny house. There is a bonus heated & cooled loft space of 196 sq. ft. accessible by ladder, which most people will welcome for climate controlled storage.
