Since the very beginning of Satterwhite Log Homes, our dead-standing timber has been sourced from high in the Rocky Mountains. Gunnison, Utah, is our primary manufacturing facility, located close to the source of this special timber.

Satterwhite sources timber from the United States Forest Service, and over the years has had major milling facilities in Colorado and in Utah, with feeder mills located in other areas near specific timber sales, and an additional sawmill currently operating in Chama, New Mexico, which processes timber harvested from the mountains in nearby Colorado.

We are proud of our forest stewardship, and the U.S. Forest Service has used these areas to host Congressional oversight and to demonstrate our nation’s response to the increasing threat of western wildfires and management that enhances forest health and preserves natural beauty for future generations.
