    About Cohutta Overlook

Another plan name drawn from the rich vocabulary of North Georgia Appalachia, the Cohutta Overlook is a wonderful 2 bedroom plan perfect for mountain properties or wherever a smaller 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin is called for.

With 1,260 sq. ft. on the main level and a 344 sq. ft. loft space accessible by stairs, the Cohutta Overlook is optimized to take advantage of a gable-end view, and can even be considered for small-scale entertaining or family gatherings thanks to two sets of French doors to either side of the central gable-end fireplace. These doors embrace outdoor living space on the gable porch, which can easily be modified during the planning stage to enlarge the outdoor living space this plan gravitates to.

With an emphasis on the environment and integration with the setting and outdoors, the two bedrooms are functional but deemphasized in relation to the priority placed on the family room, dining area, and kitchen. The 344 sq. ft. loft is open to the vaulted ceiling above the living space. A full wrap-around porch completes this design, reducing maintenance and upkeep.
