Very similar in size and function to our Tate’s Retreat floor plan, Cason’s Crossing is another plan named for one of the Satterwhite grandchildren. Like Tate’s Retreat, this home features a gable end porch that can easily be customized to larger dimensions.
In the case of the Cason’s Crossing, however, a fireplace is incorporated into the gable end of the home. For many, a fireplace is a requirement for their log home, and while Satterwhite does not provide masonry services, the location in this particular plan provides great opportunity for customization should the gable porch be expanded to a larger outdoor living space and a dual facing indoor/outdoor fireplace be desired.
The interior of Cason’s Crossing is substantially rearranged when compared to the Tate’s Retreat plan, which results in a somewhat smaller loft. This is compensated for by a slightly larger main floor, while retaining the low maintenance benefits of a full wrap-around porch.
